Video – Ouahbi calls on El Othmani’s government to “tell the truth” about the delay regarding the anti-Covid-19 vaccination campaign
The Authenticity and Modernity Party’s Secretary General, Abdellatif Ouahbi, called upon El Othmani’s government to share with the Moroccan people the reasons behind the delay in launching the long-awaited Covid-19 vaccination process.
“We shall tell the truth to the Moroccan people wondering why the vaccination process has been delayed,” Ouahbi said Wednesday, during a debate at the Fqih Tétouani Foundation.
“They made us believe that our participation in clinical examinations would give us priority in receiving vaccine doses, but unfortunately none of that happened”, Ouahbi said, adding that “everyone knew there will be speculations” amongst several countries to obtain the vaccine.
PAM’s secretary general has also stressed that the government did not keep its promise to King Mohammed VI and the Moroccan people, for it has failed to launch the vaccination process at the nearest occasion.
“The latter is a political responsibility that the government shall bear, and the opposition parties will address this issue at their next meeting,” he said.
“We are seeking the government to tell the truth to the Moroccan public”, he insisted, adding that “the problem now does not lie in the delay itself, but in the reasons behind it”.
