Commercial court in Tangier moved to old court of first instance premises

Minister of Justice Mr. Abdellatif Ouahbi has declared that the commercial court in Tangier will be moved to the old court of first instance premises, which are under construction.

Mr. Ouahbi’s announcement has come in his response to written question submitted by Mrs. Salwa Demnati, member of the parliamentary socialist party about rehabilitation of the commercial court in Tangier.

The Justice Minister has clarified that the Ministry has programmed the move of the commercial court to the old premises of the first instance court in Tangier as soon as rehabilitation works under construction will be finished.

The Justice Minister has made clear that court of appeal regional directory in Tangier is actually ending the contract with the company in charge of works with an envelope estimated at about MAD 11 million.

The Minister said that the Ministry has taken such measures to achieve broad coverage of the judiciary map and make easier litigants’ access to justice, in the context of implementing the provisions of judiciary reform aimed at achieving close justice for citizens.
