Paris.. Minister Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid calls UNESCO to get interested in African immaterial cultural heritage
Minister of Youth Culture and Communication Mr. Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid called last Wednesday November 15, 2023, UNESCO to get interested in the African immaterial cultural heritage, in a statement made during the UNESCO 13th Youth Forum, organized on the margin of the UN General Assembly.
On that occasion, Minister Bensaid has invited UNESCO to get more interested in the African immaterial cultural heritage through encouraging more African countries to register their cultural landmarks amid world immaterial heritage of the UNESCO.
Minister Bensaid has seized that opportunity to expose the Moroccan Kingdom’s experience under His Majesty King Mohammed VI’s leadership in the field of promoting youth conditions and youth-targeted programs; stressing the necessity to create a special fund to sustain small and medium-size enterprises by the UNESCO.
Minister Bensaid has also held a meeting with UNESCO General Director to discuss reinforcing of cooperation between Morocco and UNESCO, and has met with several African officials to discuss bilateral cooperation with those countries and exchange experiences and programs targeting youth.
