Minister of Energy Transition: The Moroccan Kingdom’s participation in “COP28” has included different government sectors, a number of active players and tens of Ministry’s representatives
Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development Mrs. Leila Benali has disclosed the outcome of Morocco’s participation in the COP 28 hosted by Dubai, in the UAE, stating that Morocco’s participation in this conference has included different government sectors, a number of active players from the private sector and civil society NGOs.
Minister Benali has clarified, in her response to MPs questions during the oral questions session of last Monday, December 25, 2023, that the Ministry was representative by tens of participants, and “we were shifting during negotiations, running the Ministry’s pavilion and activities of other government sectors and also attending signing agreements”.
Minister Benali has pointed out that this conference was characterized by a series of important meetings and signing of partnership agreements with partner countries, including an important common agreement between the Moroccan Kingdom and the EU Commissioner about a grant to sustain energy transition in Morocco – Green energy worth Euro 50 M.
