Minister of Higher Education: The decision to reduce training years at the Faculties of Medicine, Pharmacy and Dentistry is irreversible
Minister of Higher Education Scientific Research and Innovation, Mr. Abdellatif Miraoui has reaffirmed that the decision to reduce years of training from 7 to 6 years at the faculties of Medicine, Pharmacy and Dentistry is an irreversible decision, because it is in everybody’s interest, stressing “to maintain scientific and moral values for the certificate, at both national and international levels, and that the matter doesn’t impact, at all, the quality of academic training.”
Minister Miraoui, highlighted during, a press conference, held last Thursday, February 22, 2024, jointly by the Ministry of Higher Education Scientific Research and Innovation and the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, that the Ministry has decided to set first term exams in their scheduled date, and anyone who will be absent will be graded 0, and that the announcement of results will be done directly then a catch-up session will be organized by the end of the academic year.
The Minister has made clear that those measures have come after all efforts to resume dialogue have been exhausted, warning boycotting students with severe consequences.
