A road accident occurred Thursday between a bus and a truck on the highway between Marrakech and Casablanca, in the commune of Sidi El Mekki (Berrechid province), leaving one dead, the driver of the bus, and 35 injured, including seven seriously wounded, said local authorities in the province.
Immediately alerted, the local authorities and security services, as well as elements of civil protection moved to the scene to take the necessary measures, according to the same source, stating that the injured were evacuated to the provincial hospital in Berrechid to receive the necessary care, before transferring seven of them to Casablanca, given the seriousness of their injuries.
According to preliminary evidence, the accident may have been caused by dense fog that made it difficult to see the road, added the same source, noting that the competent authorities have opened an investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office.
