Ouahbi: PAM’s new politburo and electoral candidacy list, as well as the party’s program, are to be revealed during the National Assembly (scheduled this July)

PAM Secretary General, Abdellatif Ouahbi, declared that his position within the party has nothing to do with his statements and points of view with regard to several matters, for PAM has been engaged in a long restructuring path aimed at overcoming the allegations regarding the party’s “friendly attitude” towards the governing state, stressing that he would rather enjoy political independence, than exercise his partisan duties under guardianship.

“Our primary objective was to establish a proper “institutionalist approach” aimed at promoting PAM’s partisan structures while reviewing others, with the purpose of enabling all militants within our party to express their views and aspirations openly and freely”, Ouahbi revealed during his interview with SNRT, on Wednesday, May 19.

“PAM has also decided upon the themes constituting its electoral program, with the main emphasis on the party’s post-Covid economic alternatives”, he added.

With regard to the party’s organizational pattern, Ouahbi stated that the National Assembly is to be held in July, upon which, PAM’s politburo new formation will also be revealed; however, the exact date for this convening shall only be decided by next week.

“Electing a new politburo is important at this stage, for PAM brings together various political competencies who work jointly under one name; therefore, these competencies shall enjoy suitable representation within the party’s governing body”, Ouahbi noted.

“Moreover, PAM shall announce, upon the aforementioned National Assembly, its final candidacy list for the upcoming elections”, PAM Secretary General indicated, noting that the party shall assign a committee in charge of assisting candidates during the regional and communal elections, in addition to announcing the party’s electoral program.
