PAM denounces the fake-news outrage in light of Ouahbi’s alleged car accident

Several news websites and media pages have recently published false information (supported by fabricated images) of what appears to be a “Machiavellian settling of scores”, vis-à-vis PAM’s Secretary General, Abdellatif Ouahbi, with regard to his alleged car accident.

“As opposed to the latest media speculations, the accident – subject to media outrage – did not involve Ouahbi”, PAM’s official website stated, noting that the news and images in this regard were rather fake, for they actually refer to a different road accident.

Ouahbi’s car accident caused no casualties whatsoever, the same source stressed, indicating that the images linked to Ouahbi’s alleged car accident are in fact irrelevant, for they refer to different road accident scenes.

The accident involving Ouahbi’s car was rather ordinary, the website declared, adding that the latter was subject to a normal legal procedure carried out by the insurance company official, who fulfilled his duty by issuing a report on the matter, in respect of the laws in force.

“This relentless and systematic campaign launched by a group of odious individuals with the purpose of settling narrow political scores is primarily aimed at damaging the reputation of PAM’s Secretary General through a series of fake images with reference to an accident that was rather ordinary, for it resulted in minor damages only, as shown in the actual photos”, underlines PAM website.

Upon returning to his office on Friday to resume his duties, Ouahbi thanked those who have shown concern over his condition following the accident, and expressed his sincere apologies to those he couldn’t reply to, concludes the website’s statement.

It is noteworthy that PAM’s Secretary General had a traffic accident in Rabat, on Thursday.

The accident took place right after Ouahbi left a party meeting around the afternoon, for a high-speed car crashed into the SG’s blue limousine.
