Ouahbi: Moroccan Farmers shall be « exempted from paying their debts » due to inflation

PAM Secretary general, Abdellatif Ouahbi, held a communicative meeting in Lamhara commune within Taroudant province, upon which, he stated that his fellow party militants have yet to apply themselves for the good of Morocco.

“Lamhara, like the rest of Souss region, has been marginalized for long, provided the existing shortage in education and health infrastructures, despite its great agricultural potential”, Ouahbi stressed.

On this occasion, Ouahbi called on the competent bodies to promote the region’s agricultural aspect, especially in terms of marketing, for this year’s stats have shown incoherence in that matter, noting that farmers shall be exempted from paying their accumulated debts due to the current inflation.

Moreover, Ouahbi shed light on the existing relation between elected bodies and their respective responsibilities within the region, pointing that communal, regional and provincial councils are essential to the region’s development via their collaboration with the Parliament.

“The Parliament’s main role is to plead for the good of the people through the House of Representatives, rather than other proximity institutions”, Ouahbi declared, stressing that the pandemic brought upon a series of problematics in the educational field, upon which, PAM came up with a set of proposals to help improve the field in question in its capacity of opposition formation that seeks a governmental spot in order to bring more attention to Souss-Massa region.

In conclusion, Ouahbi stated that his party has adopted a new dynamic nationwide, for PAM militants and leaderships are keen on contributing to Morocco’s development, noting that the country is about to embark upon a new political journey that requires all social components to opt for the right representatives, especially among youth and women.
