President of the United Cities and Local Governments Organization (CGLU), Mohamed Boudra, met on Friday (June 25, 2021), with Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita.
During the meeting, both parties discussed new modes of cooperation and joint action, as well as several other issues, most importantly those related to climate, sustainable development, governance, decentralization, democracy around the world, South-South cooperation and African cooperation, in line with HM’s directives.
It is noteworthy that the United Cities and Local Governments Organization serves as an “umbrella institution” that advocates for cities and regions all over the world, especially before the UN.
The CGLU also contributes to all international programs related to sustainable development and the protection of migrants, in addition to its commitment to international conventions aimed at ensuring food security and decent-living conditions in terms of health, education and employment.
