In light of the party’s communicative dynamic throughout Morocco’s regions, PAM Secretary General, Abdellatif Ouahbi, held a communicative meeting, on Wednesday, in Guelmim, in the presence of significant party leaderships.
On this occasion, PAM structures within Guelmim region (namely the provinces of Guelmim, Sidi Ifni, Assa-Zag and Tantan) welcomed Mr. Ouahbi into their household, while expressing their joy and happiness over the latter’s visit to the region.
In his opening speech, Ouahbi expressed his appreciation to the people of Guelmim-Oued Noun region for their warm welcome, by stating that the southern city of Guelmim stands as prominent example of resistance, sacrifice and patriotism, therefore, it is now time for such historic city to be included in Morocco’s development process, as opposed to the current government’s neglective policies.
During his intervention, Ouahbi cited a series of worrying stats with regard to Guelmim’s industrial and agricultural growth rates, thus wondering whether such a city is getting enough recognition by Morocco’s officials.
The people of Guelmim-Oued Noun region have always stood in support of Morocco’s integrity, therefore, the marginalization they endure must stop, at both economic and social levels, Ouahbi declared.
Morocco’s major economic and social challenges are most likely to rise due to the pandemic, Ouahbi stated, noting that the Authenticity and Modernity party, along with the rest of Morocco’s parties, are required to join forces in order to bring upon progress to the region in particular, and Morocco in general.
On the other hand, Ouahbi stressed that the party welcomes all forces and competencies into its corridors, claiming that PAM is gaining more support throughout the country, and that such dynamic shall promote the ongoing projects under the party’s flag.
This dynamic shall enable the party to mark its presence within several communes, institutions, and regional councils, he added.
With regard to PAM’s youth and women representation, Ouahbi revealed that he has always considered both lists to be a standard form of political rent, therefore, he has advocated for women’s representation to be rather regional than national, for such a step shall bring justice and equity for the party’s female militants.
Within this context, Ouahbi urged the party’s youth and female militants to push their way forward into the elections, in order to bring justice and growth to the region.
In respect of the upcoming elections, Ouahbi reiterated that PAM is keen on winning the elections and the government’s chairmanship, for the party has undergone internal reconciliation, mobilization and strong structural reforms.
PAM has grown in power thanks to its great competency arsenal, Ouahbi indicated, stressing that PAM shall claim victory as it is always keen on standing behind HM in bringing progress and prosperity to the people of Morocco.
PAM’s chief also stated that his friendship with the newly-appointed regional secretary within Guelmim-Oued Noun region, Abdelwahab Belfkih, goes 10 years back, before the latter joins the party, noting that PAM was pleased to approve Mr. Belfkih’s joining proposal.
In his response to the accusations stipulating that Belfkih, along with other PAM militants, are actually prohibited from running for the elections, Ouahbi declared that as long as any given candidate is presumed innocent, he/she shall enjoy full right to an electoral nomination, until a final verdict is issued accordingly.
In conclusion, Ouahbi announced his House of Representatives’ list of candidates for Guelmim-Oued Noun region. The list included both veterans and newbies, namely: Rachid Tamk (Assa-Zag district), Ibrahim El Ouadad (Tantan district), Mohamed Sibari (Guelmim district), and Jamal Sidati (Sidi Ifni district).
