PAM Secretary General, Abdellatif Ouahbi, urged his party’s parliamentary team to pursue the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, National Defense, Islamic Affairs and Moroccans Residing Abroad, into holding an urgent committee meeting, in the presence of the Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Living Abroad, in order to discuss the latest development with regard to the allegations stipulating Morocco’s involvement in a media-based espionage through “Pegasus spyware”, with the aim of addressing these accusations, as well as examining its sources and goals for Morocco to take appropriate measures in this regard.
Ouahbi also called on PAM’s team to summon the Moroccan Minister of Interior to take part in the discussions promoted by the Committee of the Interior, Local Authorities, Housing and City Policy, with the purpose of adopting appropriate measures in dealing with the growing media-based allegations stipulating Morocco’s involvement in a state-led espionage that tends to target several Moroccan/foreign politicians and media professionals, through Pegasus spyware.
