PAM – Mrs Ouahabi : pleading for Larache people is my “Motto” for the regional elections

The Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) nominated, on Saturday (August 21), Zhour Ouahabi to serve as regional list deputy within Larache province, upon the regional council elections scheduled on September 08, 2021.

Mrs Ouahabi has been a PAM member since 2009, thus representing the modernist democratic side of the party.

“I have chosen to join PAM party out of conviction, for I believe that political commitment is key to achieving real change”, she declared, noting that the 12 years she has spent as a PAM member have only brought her to believe further in struggle and continuity.

Mrs Ouahabi, who joined PAM as a national council member, managed to earn a parliamentary seat upon the youth legislative elections back in 2016, before serving as a member of the House of Representatives Justice and Legislation Committee during the 2016-2021 legislative term.

At the professional level, she has been serving as an executive official within the Regional Directorate of Education since 2011. Her academic background includes a B.A in Law, a Master’s degree in local affairs’ management, and a PhD in public policies.

Mrs Ouahabi is known for her highly-recognized communication ethics, for she has always been committed to meeting people’s demands, at both local and national levels. She is also an active member within several human rights and development associations throughout Larache region.

“Regional councils represent Morocco’s most prestigious institutions, therefore, I am keen on representing Larache region accordingly”, she stressed, pointing out that the parliament shall be more concerned with legislations, while regional councils are to carry out developmental tasks at both provincial and communal levels.

“If the people of Larache place their trust in me, I will be more than happy to plead for their concerns from my respective position”, she added.

“Regional councils within today’s Morocco enjoy broader powers, therefore, they are required to implement the new developmental model accordingly. This, however, can only be achieved by electing dedicated and experienced regional councillors, who are deemed able to keep pace with Morocco’s developmental path and pioneering reform projects, in the prospect of a better future”, she concluded.
