PAM Secretary General, Abdellatif Ouahbi, warned against the excessive drug use inside Moroccan schools, stressing that this phenomenon represents a serious threat to all Moroccan families, for it tends to destroy the lives of youth and children alike.
“Addiction to drugs represents a serious threat to all Moroccans at both health and social levels, for it shall bring upon aspects of social instability”, Ouahbi indicated, while emphasizing the need to review the criminal law in force, as well as the necessity of aggravating penalties in this respect.
In his response to the escalating violence inside universities, Ouahbi stated that such a phenomenon is due to the absence of student-based movements, for the latters primarily serve as communicative platforms for youth.
“Political parties are required to raise awareness amongst our youth to prevent universities from turning into an environment for violence and crime”, he added.
