Profile – Ms. Ghita Mezzour, Minister in charge of Digital Transition

Crowned by her surname of “Rising star” from the MIT engineering and Computer Sciences branch, Ms. Ghita Mezzour enjoys an outstanding academic and scientific experience full with her scientific researches and studiesworldwide. She was appointed by His Majesty Minister Delegate to the Government President, in charge of Digital Transition and Administrative reform.

Ms. Ghita Mezzour holds her PhD in computation, organizations and society”, electric engineering from The Carnegie Mellon in the U.S. and a Masters’ degree in communication systems from the Federal Polytechnic school in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Ms. Mezzour works as a university professor at the Rabat International University, deputy director of “TIClab” at the same university, and she is specialized in artificial intelligence/AI. She has established a rising enterprise called “DASEC” and is working actually on various projects in favor of international organizations, government agencies and the private sector.

Ms. Mezzour has also worked as chairwoman for the program of the International 16th Conference for Hybrid Intelligent systems and she is also editor collaborator in the AI engineering applications.

Ms. Mezzour supervises a research project on the gap between university training and job market in Morocco, on the ground of using data to analyze job market needs and comparing those needs with skills being taught at Moroccan universities; she also makes use of data sciences to handle problems with strong social impact, a process she has used to study Cyber security and the possibility for youth employment.
