Mr. Abdellatif Ouahbi Minister of Justice took part last Monday, December 6, 2021 in the second session works of the global dialogue for “justice leaders”, on the topic “justice changes for a new social contract”.
The meeting was an occasion for Minister of Justice to express the strategic importance of undertaking the big project of reforming the justice apparatus in all its legal, judiciary and managerial scopes and in presenting the answers to new development challenges being witnessed by the world today.
In the same context, Minister Ouahbi has clarified the importance of bringing changes to traditional approaches to reform the justice apparatus, and so making them more focused on citizens’ expectations, especially vulnerable groups in society, and this should be guaranteed through their smooth access to justice services to get legal and judiciary information to help them defend their basic rights.
Minister of Justice has confirmed that the Moroccan Kingdom has worked over the last few years to accelerate the pace of the judiciary apparatus reform, in cooperation with its various world partners, on implementing legislative and organizational measures to make administrative and legal processes easier and more and more digital; and to guarantee access to legal and judiciary information according to the Kingdom’s constitution and to world regulations for the sake of establishing new judiciary governance founded on justice and equity values.
The Minister has also renewed our country’s commitment to proceed with reforming the judiciary apparatus to be the focal and starting point to all society and institutional reforms aimed at achieving socio economic development and reinforce citizen’s integration.
The Minister has concluded by pointing out that the government principles of being opened in the justice field will enable it to present complete and integrated responses to various current and future crises, with increasing confidence rate among citizens in the judiciary organizations and establishing rule of the law state.
