Mrs. Mansouri: The selection of Marrakech to host the first African bureau for the world tourism organization Demonstrates the Kingdom’s continental leadership

The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) held over the period between November 30 through December 3, 2021, the 24th session of the organization general assembly, where Morocco was elected as a member of the executive council board of the World Tourism Organization for the period 2021 – 2025 and therefore Morocco candidacy has got the adoption to host the first African bureau of the UNWTO.

In this context, Mrs. Fatima Zahra Mansouri, the Mayor of Marrakech has confirmed that the selection of the red city to host the first African bureau of the UNWTO is a proof which demonstrates the Kingdom’s leadership in the field of developing tourism in general, and the city of Marrakech in particular.

Mrs. Mansouri stated “Our mission today is to develop Marrakech which has suffered a great deal from the Corona pandemic, and this through tourism investments and creativity and also through relying on cooperation model South – South which inspires from the royal vision spirit to reinforce common African action.
