Mr. Ouahbi and Mrs. Mansouri held a coordination meeting with women ministers and members of the PAM parliamentarian team

Mr. Ouahbi, the PAM Secretary General and Mrs. Fatima Zahra Mansouri, President of the PAM National Council, held last Monday, January 17, 2022 a coordination meeting with the PAM women ministers and members of the party at the Parliament.

The coordination meeting has focused on launching a new dynamism process and giving a strong push to the party’s women organization, to constitute a qualitative value to defend Moroccan women causes in general and the PAM party’s in particular.

In a statement made on the occasion, Mr. Abdellatif Ouahbi has called the party’s ladies MPs to open various means of communication with ladies members of the party throughout all the Kingdom’s areas and provinces, confirming that this meeting represents a hard core to communicate with the PAM ladies across the Kingdom.

The PAM Secretary General has stated that women participation in Morocco’s political life is a fundamental pillar of democracy and development, adding “our firm collective ambition is to achieve equality stipulated in chapter 19 of the country’s constitution”.

Mr. Ouahbi added “we are eager at the party, leadership, Politburo and ministers, to restructure the PAM women organization and provide all necessary means to make of it an active independent organization that enjoys scientific and cultural competencies”, reminding at the same time, the PAM firm and clear position towards women representativeness since its creation back in 2008 until today, confirming that the PAM actually respects that representativeness inside the Politburo and in other organizational bodies of the party, with more than what is stipulated in the organizational law of political parties.

Mr. Ouahbi has stressed the importance of party action to remove injustice vis-à-vis Moroccan women in general, calling on the party MPs to the necessity of reinforcing outreach policy and political communication to make policy at the service of development.

From her side, Mrs. Fatima Zahra Mansouri has asserted that the party is in bad need today of a strong women organization to bring together all the party’s women members at the national level.

Mrs. Mansouri has called on the necessity to break off with former mistakes and distortions and therefore build a strong women organization opened to all members of the party, confirming that the PAM enjoys skilled and competent women capable of creating dynamism and pump new blood inside the party’s parallel organizations.
