Laayoune: Meeting of the common body between the Justice Ministry and the judicial authority council to discuss modernization and digitalization of the judiciary apparatus

The court of appeal in Laayoune hosted last Friday, January 21, 2022, the second meeting of the common body between the higher council for judicial authority and the Ministry of Justice, attended by Minister of Justice Mr. Abdellatif Ouahbi; president delegate of the higher council for judicial authority, Mr. Mohammed Abdenabaoui, and president of the general prosecutor’s office Mr. Moulay Hassan Daki.

The meeting aims at giving a strong push susceptible to support mechanism of coordination between active institutions in the judiciary apparatus, and to strengthen consultation and coordination in terms of judicial management.

The common body between the higher council for judicial authority and the Ministry of Justice has discussed the outcome of its action following up the amendment of the common resolution about its creation, and other issues related to modernization and digitalization of the judiciary apparatus, to new legislative texts and an updating of the judicial roadmap and the situation of court construction projects.

The meeting has also discussed management of courts archives, the signing of the common resolution between the Justice Ministry and the higher council for judicial authority and the presidency of the public prosecutor’s office to deal about conditions and measures to manage archives.

In this context, Minister of Justice has paid a visit to Laayoune to oversee the real estate container for the administrative court in Laayoune, a project which will be built on a total area estimated at 5684, square meters and will include three floors, one for rooms appeal and the two others for judges and staffers.

It’s worth mentioning that the site visit made by Minister of Justice, has come as an expression of the Ministry’ s determination to guarantee affording an update court of justice compatible with local Moroccan architecture components and therefore make it suitable with services and confortable working conditions.
