A Spanish delegation is currently paying a visit to Laayoune-Saqia Al Hamra area to get informed about development aspects being witnessed by the area in different cultural, social and economic sectors.
The Spanish delegation, which is visiting the area by an initiative of the Saqia Al Hamra center for studies and research, and the Murcia association for acacia, is made up of Antonio Vicente Ferai Sanchez, historian and university professor at the university of Murcia, Gonzalo Sanchez Alvarez Castillanos, photographer-designer and Paulino Ross, journalist at the Murcia regional radio.
The Spanish delegation, which is accompanied by the Moroccan Kingdom’s Consul General in Murcia, Mr. Mohamed Biyadillah, will visit the birds’ area at the N’ila reserve in the province of Terfaya, the rock carvings site and other archeological sites in the area. The Spanish delegation will hold several meetings with local officials and activists from Laayoune–Terfaya–Smara province.
A partnership agreement will be signed during this visit between interaction association in Murcia and the Saqia Al Hamra center for studies and research in Laayoune, the Miran association to safeguard legacy in Smara for the introduction and research of archeological and natural sites in the area of Laayoune Saqia Al Hamra.
A conference will be organized at the multidisciplinary faculty in Smara presented by prof. Gonzalo Sanchez Alvarez Castillanos and a book presentation entitled “Archeological rock carvings in the South of Morocco published in Spain last February.
