Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, Mr. Abdellatif Miraoui has disclosed that reduction of college fees at the faculty of medicine for Moroccan student returnees from Ukraine is possible and will be then applied after getting informed about their families’ income.
Mr. Miraoui said in a statement to the press that the Ministry is coordinating with private institutions to discuss the dossier of every student at a time, highlighting that those private institutions will deal with students files as required, on the basis that students will pass and exam and should succeed access tests.
Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation added that for engineers, veterinaries and others will be integrated in public education institutions due to their few numbers, stressing that the Ministry’s priority is actually to solve problems and this will be done within a week deadline, and then will come all answers to questions about fees and finance details.
Minister Miraoui has announced previously that about 13 exams will be organized to be hosted at Mohammed VI Health University in Casablanca (Medicine section); at the University Hospital Sheikh Khalifa in Rabat (Pharmacy section); and at the Rabat International University (dentistry section) on September 24 so that registration will start between September 27 and 30.
Regarding the number of students who will set for those exams, the Minister has made clear that students who have registered themselves electronically as required by the Ministry has reached 800 students.
The government official has stated that students who have accomplished their studies by distance learning, the Ministry will approve their success and will therefore benefit from continuous follow up over a period between six months and one year, as regarding to languages so that they will familiarize and adapt to new academic conditions.
