Minister of Youth, Culture and Communications, Mr. Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid oversaw last Friday, September 2, 2022, the official kick-off the neighbourhood soccer tournament “the road to the world cup”, in the presence of President of the Moroccan Royal Soccer Federation, Mr. Faouzi Leqjaa and the Governor of Skhirat-Temara, Mr. Youssef Dhraiss.
The tournament opened with two soccer matches one for men and the other one for women played at Al Harhoura local stadiums, in the presence of different teams from the province about fifty soccer teams at the local level out of more than 3 thousand teams at the national level, which will compete to reach the qualification and win ticket to travel to the 2022 Qatar world cup and the 2023 Australia and New Zeeland world cup.
Provincial soccer matches will be extended between September 2 through 25, while regional matches will be played during the first week of October, and to close the tournament at the national level by mid-October.
