Minister of Justice, Mr. Abdellatif Ouahbi has ended a series of visits to the Gulf countries, Egypt and Jordan and which have come in the context of reinforcing communication and deepening cooperation with ministries of justice in Arab countries, with a meeting last Sunday, October 2, 2022 with his Egyptian counterpart Mr. Omar Marwan.
According to a communiqué issued by the Justice Minister’s staff, the meeting was attended by the Moroccan Kingdom Ambassador Mr. Ahmed Tazi and officials from both ministries; talks have focused on outstanding political relationships binding the countries under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and President Abdelfattah Assissi, at various sectors of cooperation and fruitful progress between the countries in many fields; the fact which confirms the depth of strong relationships between brotherly Moroccan and Egyptian peoples for many years.
During the meeting, informed the communiqué, Minister Ouahbi has presented a set of reforms witnessed by the judiciary system in Morocco, which aim at deepening the independence of judicial power, developing legislation and make it cope with all national and international changes, so that they will have positive impact on women and child’s rights and also for many other communities; Those reforms will be at the service of justice efficiency. The Ministry, sad Minister Ouahbi, is working on developing infrastructures of Moroccan courts and their digitalization to advance the quality of public services and respond to citizens expectations, in addition to intensifying training of human resources in various legal and judiciary professions.
The meeting, added the communiqué, was an occasion to get informed about ancient Egyptian experience in the judiciary field and which has witnessed progress over the last years. The Egyptian justice experience was presented by the Egyptian Minister of Justice, Mr. Omar Marwan at both the legislative and judicial level and also at jurisprudence and other many levels as well. In this context, the meeting was also an opportunity to reinforce cooperation relationships in the judiciary sector between the Moroccan Kingdom and Egypt through both ministries for the benefit of brotherly peoples.
With this meeting, Minister of Justice Mr. Ouahbi has ended his important tour to the Gulf countries, Jordan and Egypt, which has resulted in deepening cooperation relationships in the judiciary field, and to pave the way for establishing a new era of outstanding partnership with those countries in the judiciary field to aspire to the level of deeply-rooted political and important relationships between the Moroccan Kingdom and those brotherly countries.
