Minister Ghita Mezzour discussed with the World Bank Director for Digital Development means to enhance digital transformation strategy in the Moroccan Kingdom

Minister of Digital Transformation and Administration Reform, Mrs. Ghita Mezzour held a meeting with the World Bank Director for Digital Development, in Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East and North Africa, on the margin of a regional meeting of MENA on open government partnership, hosted in Marrakech over the period between November 1 and 3, 2022.

The meeting was an occasion to discuss means to strengthen cooperation between the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Administration Reform and the World Bank, in the digital field and support the Moroccan Kingdom’s national strategy on digital transformation.

Minister Ghita Mezzour previously chaired, last Tuesday, November 1, 2022, the opening session of the regional meeting for Africa and the Middle East on open government partnership, hosted by Morocco under the supreme patronage of his Majesty King Mohammed VI.

This event brings together leaders of open governments and interested parties from Africa and the Middle East, including world partners, to strengthen collective ambition and bring more dynamism in society and exchange of expertise; and also for reinforcing institutional values for open governments partnership, especially in terms of transparency of public initiatives, its openness on new forms of consultation and cooperation with civil society through relying more specifically on digital technology and modern technologies.
