Reinforcing joint cooperation .. Minister Abdellatif Ouahbi received a high-level judicial delegation from the Turkish court of cassation

Minister of Justice, Mr. Abdellatif Ouahbi, received last Thursday, December 1, 2022 at his department office, a high-level judicial delegation from the Turkish Republic court of cassation, led by first president of the Turkish cassation court, Mr. Mehmet Akarca and the Attorney General at the same court Mr. Bekir Sahin.

This visit has come within the framework of the Ministry of Justice program for the high-level Turkish delegation from the cassation court which is making a working visit to our country.

The meeting was an occasion from Minister of Justice Ouahbi to highlight the importance of this high-level delegation visit to Morocco, expressing hopes to invest it for serving joint cooperation between both countries in the justice field.

On the other hand, the visit was also an occasion to exchange viewpoints on many issues that concern justice in both countries; and for Minister Ouahbi to present to his guests a briefing on reforms undertaken by Morocco to reform the justice apparatus.

Minister Ouahbi has talked about the Justice Ministry role in pushing forwards many major projects, including changes in legislation and in preserving good conditions for a fair trial and safeguarding women and child’s rights.

The government official has also pointed out to the Ministry action of relying on digitization for the reform and changes process, in addition to staff training and reinforcing infrastructure.

From its own side, the Turkish delegation has expressed its desire to benefit from the Moroccan experience and deepen further joint cooperation in the justice field between both countries.
