The Hague : Mr. Ouahbi on working visit to the International Court of Justice

In the context of his friendly and working visit to the Dutch Kingdom, Minister of Justice, Mr. Abdellatif Ouahbimade on Thursday, November 24, 2022, a visit to the International Court of Justice in The Hague.

The visit was an occasion for the Minister of Justice and his accompanying delegation to get informed about the functioning of the International Court of Justice and its important facilities.

During the visit, Minister of Justice has held a meeting with the International Court of Justice Registrar, Mr. Philippe Gautier who has presented a briefing about the ICJ status, its different roles, and also issues and files it deals with and its importance role of serving international human issues and accumulated judicial experience which benefit the best judges over the world working for it.

Over the meeting, Minister Ouahbi has reminded of our country’s opening to foreign experiences and re-training programs with different world institutions especially in the justice field and legal professions.

Minister Ouahbi has also expressed the importance of making benefit from the ICJ expertise and its handing of current new developments and challenges and also of other issues it has previously decided on such as international arbitration and settling some pending and sensitive issues.

From his side, the ICJ Registrar has confirmed the International Court of Justice readiness to cooperate with Morocco in terms of training, exchange of expertise and training scholarships offered in the legal field at the Hague court.
