Minister Abdellatif Ouahbi: New brand of courts should resist aging for the next 70 years

Minister of Justice, Mr. Abdellatif Ouahbi, has stated that the construction of new courts should resist the speed of aging along with changes being witnessed by the sector.

In his response to a question at the House of Representatives about generalization of courts construction, Minister Ouahbi has confirmed that new brand of courts should be built with the vision to upcoming 70 years, recording that a number of courts requires 5 years for construction, and as soon as functional, they become unsuitable in keeping up with developments.

The government official has stated that the Ministry is working on two major projects, first the construction of a number of courts, and extending other family status courts to bring them closer to citizens, stressing that the Ministry is putting all its available means to build new courts as MAD 100 million have been allocated over the three coming years, along with 400 employees.

Minister Ouahbi has also pointed out that 10 judiciary centers have been created in several cities, while 17 new courts in different areas of the kingdom have been inaugurated. Other new courts will be inaugurated in Khenifra, after the ones in Fez and Meknes, and a new court will be built in Jerada.
