Rabat hosted on Wednesday evening, April 5, 2023 the signing ceremony of common annual action plan between the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication and UN agencies in Morocco.
The common annual action plan was signed by Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication Mr. Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid and officials of UN agencies in Morocco, including UNESCO bureau to the Maghreb countries, UNICEF, UNHCR, UNFPA, UN Women and UNDP.
In his statement made on this occasion, Minister Bensaid has praised the goals of that actin plan, aimed at developing cooperation and exchange of expertise between the Ministry and UN agencies in Morocco. The Minister has also stated that Moroccan youth are in need for an innovative program helping them to overcome youth-related problems, on their top, employment and creating a new climate and new vision to encourage enterprises initiatives inside youth centers in different areas.
The government official has made clear that all strategies targeting youth should be matching with youth needs and requirements according to different areas and also to be appropriate with job market at both provincial and regional levels; and in this context, the Ministry has established a new system for women clubs/centers and create new training programs and new services to take the place of old classical ones.
Minister Bensaid has pointed out to some leading experiences such as YoCode specialized in computer software to benefit Moroccan youth who do not have certificates and diplomas; the fact which will help them have access to job market.
This program will be sponsored by the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication and in cooperation with UN through its different agencies working in the field of youth; noting that this program was signed for the first time at the African level between a government institution and six UN-affiliated agencies.
