Minister of Justice Mr. Abdellatif Ouahbi presented last Thursday, April 13, 2023, at the government council’s meeting a project bill number 37.22 about the Higher Judiciary Institute.
The project bill, adopted by the government, is aimed at setting up a new legal status for the Higher Judiciary Institute that will define its organization, specialties and management. It also includes a number of provisions that will deal with judiciary training in its broader and comprehensive approach.
The project bill has come to keeping up with deep changes witnessed by our country’s judiciary system over the last few years, and current challenges to help advance this system especially in relation with judiciary training.
The project bill also aims at reviewing the Higher Judiciary Institute legal status to cope with new developments resulted in the institutional independence of the judiciary power and basic status of Moroccan judges number 106.13.
