The board of Presidents of the government majority teams at the House of Representatives held last Monday, May 22, 2023 its regular meeting to debate issues related to Parliamentary tasks including legislative, regulatory work and assessing public policies.
After viewing the process of studying and discussing project bills and proposals presented to the House, the board of Presidents has praised the positive dynamism witnessed by parliamentary commissions and called, in the same time, on all its members to deploy more efforts to accelerate the pace of legislative and regulatory action.
Out of the board of Presidents’ keen interest in the importance of fact-finding missions and thematic commissions which represent the core of the House of Representatives monitoring system, Presidents have discussed the House outcome about this regard and it was demonstrated tangibly that many fact-finding missions and thematic commissions have finished their reports and are about to present them to concerned commissions for discussion; while some other commissions and missions are in the process of putting final touches in the drafting of their reports according to regulatory procedure in force.
Regarding the temporary thematic commission in charge of assessing the Green Morocco plan, whose task was stopped due to its President who has lost his position by a constitutional court decision, the board of Presidents, out of its keen interest, calls on respectful President of the House of Representatives to reconstruct this commission according to the House internal status provisions, so that it could accomplish the study, discussion and assessment of the Green Morocco plan within reasonable time schedule for the sake of improving the agricultural sector.
