Minister Ghita Mezzour: The government is keeping up pace with Moroccan youth and investors in the digital sector and off-shoring

Minister of Digital Transition and Administration Reform, Mrs. Ghita Mezzour has stated that our country has important potentials regarding digitization, on their head, a qualified youth with tremendous skills, stressing that the Moroccan government is keeping up pace with the Moroccan youth and investors in the digital sector and off-shoring in general.

In the context of efforts undertaken by the Ministry of Digital Transition to make known Morocco’s potentials and incite more world investments, Minister Mezzour said in response to oral questions by councilors at the second house, held last Tuesday, June 13, 2023, that the Moroccan Kingdom has hosted the first edition of Africa Gitex for technology and emerging companies, which is part of Gitex Global, and was organized for the first time in Africa under the high patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

Minister Mezzour has disclosed that Gitex Africa has known the participation of more than 900 exhibiters, including government and emerging companies and multinationals in technology, from more than 120 countries and 32.000 visitors, making clear that this meeting was an opportunity to exchange expertise and experiences among different participants and reinforce South-South cooperation and open to new investments scopes.

The Moroccan Ministry has encouraged and subsided 100 Moroccan enterprises to take part in Gitex Africa and has also organized an open day for the benefit of students from different areas of the Kingdom to offer them opportunity to get to know about Gitex Africa and other emerging companies and come closer with new technologies.
