PAM Secretary General has first reminded of the national and partisan context in which the PAM National Council 27th session is taking place, considering that this context imposes various constraints on Morocco. Therefore, PAM as a national democratic party and as a leader at the political scene should make proof of full responsibility and vigilance to meet challenges.
In his address to the National Council opening 27th session held last Saturday, July 8, 2023 at the Oulja/Salé conferences palace, Mr. Ouahbi underlined that this responsibility should be reflected at the level of political positions regarding our country’s big challenges as well as at the level of measures to be taken regarding our party organizational issues, affirming his full conviction that PAM militants both males and females with their commitment and loyalty will make of this session an opportunity for creativity, excellence and self-renewal to serve the causes of our country and our citizens.
Mr. Ouahbi has underlined that despite various constraints facing our country, vigilance should remain a characteristic of our steps towards different positions on issues related to our national territory integrity at both national and international scene despite successive victories that were realized in the process of our historical legitimate rights for our first national cause thanks to His Majesty King Mohammed VI wise diplomacy; we should as responsible officials and as a political elite be aware of the complexity of international situation and continue on the same track of vigilance to defend our legitimate territorial integrity claims and confront with same firmness new strategies our foes are leading in this issue.. We should also diversify our friendships and cooperation relationships with our true international partners to be based on mutual respect and on the sovereignty of our territorial integrity and safeguard our citizens’ dignity.
Parallel to the priority of territorial integrity in our political system at the level of the party, the government, the Parliament and other political spheres, this has not prevented officials from promoting citizens’ economic and social conditions; underlining that the current government has made big progress in the process of building a social state and protecting citizens’ dignity against economic crises impacts, including the promotion of citizens’ rights to have decent housing with the necessity to confront real estate lobbies with strong determination.
Mr. Ouahbi has recalled the government action to reevaluate Moroccan manpower effort through the signing of a historical social contract with different social actors in order to promote social peace in our country and promote a program for permanent and temporary employment system, engage education system reform with the same strong determination despite the coercions of the diaspora and of different successive policies applied on the sector, particularly in the university education and contribute to the promotion of advanced digitization in Morocco.
PAM Secretary General has raised the issue of workshops to offer an appropriate support for Moroccan youth, reevaluating national culture, cultural heritage and our country national heritage, to stabilize our country regarding renewable energies to ensure needs in fluctuating energy market, noting in the same context, important progress being made to ensure drinking water availability, to continue to encourage investments and other reforms workshops undertaken by the current government despite various coercions, such as the on-going Russia war, several consecutive years of drought that all have had bad repercussions on our country’s economic and social conditions and which have contributed to lack of provisions of basic food products; the fact which has impacted citizens’ purchasing power.
Mr. Ouahbi has made clear that the government has fully assumed its responsibility facing those emerging challenges by making extraordinary decisions which have thus contributed to the stability of national markets.
“Urgent interventions undertaken by the government to meet those challenges have not prevented a solid and harmonious government from implementing government program with promising strategic reforms in various fields”, has stated Ouahbi, adding that: “When we say that this government is the government of big reforms, we don’t exaggerate! We do reaffirm it with unequivocal proofs, that the government maintains its reforms process and fulfills its programs on which bases it has won the confidence, despite external multiple constraints and hard climate conditions, knowing that it is a government of creativity and of challenges and not a populist government of deceptions”.
