Minister of Justice Mr. Abdellatif Ouahbi received last Monday September 4, 2023 at his department office in Rabat Mr. Kitio Edouard, Director of the African Institute for the Protection against Crime and Criminals Treatment, accompanied by members experts of the institute.
The meeting has come on the margin of the official visit made by the institute delegation to our country to carry out a consulting mission and exchange of expertise and experiences with the Moroccan Ministry of Justice national observatory for criminality.
On the same occasion, Minister of Justice has made a presentation to the African institute highlighting various reforms undertaken by our country in the field of justice in general and in reforms concerning penal policies in particular. The Minister has also talked about important role played by the Ministry of Justice at the level of penal affairs and also about challenges facing the national observatory for criminality as related to reinforcing human resources capacities and professional skills, through training programs and opening to international experiences including the experience of the African Institute for the Protection against crime.
From their side, the African Institute officials have expressed their great gratitude for the reforms and important steps made by Morocco in the fight against crime and have also expressed their permanent readiness for deepening cooperation between the African Institute and the Moroccan Ministry of Justice in the fight against criminality.
