Minister of Justice Mr. Abdellatif Ouahbi has expressed his full rejection of hiring social assistants and make them work as secretaries inside courts, confirming that this subject just annoys him as their mission is opposite to the law and their training background.
Minister of Justice has informed that there are about 400 social assistants in the Moroccan courts and next year there will be 100 more, saying that social assistants’ mission minimizes the stress of judiciary tasks.
Minister Ouahbi considered that it’s high time to think about how could social assistants be a kind of a bridge between justice in its broad concept and citizens; pointing out that women and children are the category which suffers more at courts, and that’s why social assistants will be trained inside courts to be specialized in assisting all kinds of women inside the courts.
