PAM Politburo communiqué

PAM Politburo held last Wednesday, November 1, 2023, an ordinary session meeting under Secretary General’s presidency Mr. Abdellatif Ouahbi to debate latest developments at the Moroccan national and international scene, the party’s internal matters. Following deep debate about various issues included in the Secretary General’s political allocution, PAM Politburo has confirmed the following points:

• First: Politburo expresses its satisfaction towards the UN Security Council resolution 2703 about the Moroccan Sahara issued two days ago, and which has consecrated another time the strength and position of the autonomy proposal as a strategic political choice to resolve the artificial conflict and the positive dynamism witnessed by the Moroccan Sahara issue under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

• Second: The Politburo highly appreciates the project of direct social subventions to families in precarious situation, believing that this royal major project constitutes a national revolution in the field of social subventions which have moved, for the first time in our country’s history, from subventions of basic products to direct subventions to families in need and in precarious situation.

• Third: The Politburo praises the government’s broad orientations included in the 2024 budget project bill, considering that the project bill represents a quantum leap in the history of the Kingdom’s reforms.

• Fourth: We appreciate the government’s handling of the large public measures taken for the behalf of the earthquake-stricken populations especially the government allocation of MAD 2.5 billion fund from the Special Fund to manage the earthquake impacts

• Fifth: Regarding the party’s internal matters, and after the Politburo has praised responsible discussions and takeaways of the PAM-affiliated women organization national council, the Politburo has got informed about the progress made by sub-committees in charge of the preparation for the party’s fifth national convention.

• Sixth: Concerning external matters, the party has registered with deep sadness the continuation of violent aggression against children, women and the rest of citizens in Gaza, and the escalation of abominable aggression against an isolated people; the fact which has caused a large destruction in the area in flagrant violation of law and international humanitarian charters, appealing all international powers and the UN for an immediate intervention to stop this flagrant aggression and to safeguard the Palestinian people’s rights , its rights in security, food, medical and energy needs.
