Minister of Youth Culture and Communication, Mr. Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, Director General of National Security, Mr. Abdellatif Hammouchi, and president of the national commission to monitor personal data protection, Mr. Omar Seghrouchni, have proceeded to the signing of a tripartite cooperation agreement to exploit “national trust” platform, which relies on application of e-national identity set up by the General Directory of National Security for the benefit of national bodies responsible for investigating identities through Internet services.
The tripartite agreement aims at protecting beneficiaries of the Ministry of Youth Culture and Communication digital services in the context of a digital identity system. Thanks to this agreement, the Ministry will be able to acquire necessary tools to investigate about the identity of users who need to have access to digital services; the fact which will contribute to ban misuse of other people’s identity to get information provided by the Ministry and so requires of making sure of users’ identity such as youth passport, artists badge and other documents.
This tripartite agreement has come in the context of improving, simplifying and ensuring access to the Ministry’s digital services, in full respect for the protection of users’ personal data.
