Member of the PAM SG collegial leaderships Mr. Salaheddine Aboulghali has reiterated that the choice for collegial leadership was the outcome of the PAM fifth national convention held in Bouznika last February 9&10, 2024. It was a choice for new management thinking and a result of an extensive debate about the party future.
Mr. Aboulghali, who was guest to national radio program “rendezvous for discussion” broadcast last Monday, February 19, 2024 evening, considered that the PAM SG collegial leadership is a modern secular mechanism, adopted unanimously by the PAM fifth national convention. This leadership is made up of three young leaders from the party ranks and its creation under this collegial form has come in time with changes being witnessed by the world as it is facing new challenges and therefore the necessity to innovate new methods.
Mr. Aboulghali has referred to the new generation of political leaders represented by the collegial leadership after 15 years of the party creation; those leaders have held different positions inside the party until its coming to power to lead the party with new ideas and approaches and with an attitude towards a renewal of the PAM, adding that “the new attitude is not a solution to an organizational crisis, this is not correct, there’s absolutely no crisis of this kind, PAM has spent 12 years in the opposition; and political parties and especially PAM is known for managing crises.”
Mr. Aboulghali added that “The collegial leadership is one of the most important outcomes of the fifth national convention, it was elected for a full mandate and led by three leaders who share the same thinking patterns, the same scopes and the same goals of working from inside the PAM.”
Mr. Aboulghali has stated that the collegial leadership is fully aware of the good governance of managing the party and its strength and its political position at the national level (as a second political power and participation in managing the government majority).
The collegial leadership intends to achieve a common and not individual success as our country is expecting to face many challenges in the future including the 2026 elections and Morocco’s rendezvous with hosting the 2030 soccer world cup, in a follow up of His Majesty King Mohammed VI’s wise strategy to construct the Moroccan youth future and help the country to advance at the highest levels of progress in different fields.
On a question about the proposal of his name amid the collegial leadership, Mr. Aboulghali said: “The proposal of my name was an honor for me and I am not the one who refrains from assuming responsibility, especially that our country is facing many big challenges and our citizens’ expectations are also big, so we hope to be successful at the level of our common determination in management and to be at the level of PAM militants and Moroccan citizens’ expectations.”
After thanking PAM leaders Mr. Samir Koudar, Mr. Abdellatif Ouahbi and Mr. Ahmed Akhchichen, Mr. Aboulghali said that PAM is an important partner and fundamental component on the government majority, as it is managing 7 ministerial sectors, stressing that “PAM ministers men and women are working hard and seriously and we are satisfied with our performance and honorable outcome in the sectorsof justice, housing, employment, energy, digital transition and administration reform, higher education and culture and youth.”
