Istanbul: Morocco reiterates its firm and clear-cut position regarding the Palestinian cause

The Moroccan Kingdom reiterated last Saturday, February 24, 2024, from Istanbul, its firm and clear-cut position, under His Majesty King Mohammed VI’s leadership, and Chairman of Al Quds Committee, its support and defense for the Palestinian cause and its adherence to a peaceful settlement for a two-state solution to achieve a just and lasting peace in the Middle East.

This confirmation was stated during an emergency meeting of the ICO ministers’ council, in the presence of Ministers of Media/Communication of countries members of the ICO (Islamic Cooperation Organization).

A Moroccan delegation from the Ministry of Youth Culture and Communication made up of Mr. Mustapha Amedjar, Director of communication and Public Relations, and Mr. Wadii Touil from the same Ministry, has represented Morocco.

In his intervention, Mr. Amedjar has explained to Ministers of Communication members of the ICO that Morocco, under His Majesty King Mohammed VI’ wise leadership, has always defended the Palestinian legitimate cause, seen as a fundamental principle in its foreign policy, and will pursue its tireless efforts to defend Holy Sites, on their top The Holy Al Quds, for which His Majesty King Mohammed VI, chairman of Al Quds Committee, gives a particular interest. Those efforts combine political and diplomatic action with field action, led by Bayt Mal Al Quds/the Al Quds Fund Agency, whose major goal is to preserve the cultural identity of the Holy City, improve Palestinian communities social living conditions and support their resistance.

Al Quds Fund Agency, added Mr. Amedjar in his intervention, gives also a particular interest to media and information programs, by supporting and sponsoring the training of Palestinian media professionals, by granting scholarships to media students and media institutions to strengthen the Palestinian people’s resilience to make its voice heard and also to transmit its message to the entire world.
