Minister of Youth Culture and Communication, Mr. Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, has recently held at the Mohammed VI Museum for Modern Arts, a second working session to discuss arts forgery in Morocco.
The second session was attended by a number of professionals from plastic arts sphere, and the discussion has focused on arts forgery topic. Several proposals have been made to stop this phenomenon during that session which was attended by the Moroccan Copyright National Office, Related Rights, National Institute for Fine Arts and other interested institutions.
In his statement on the occasion, Minister Bensaid has confirmed that advancing culture industry requires and starts with defending authors’ copyrights by safeguarding their works from piracy and forgery; for that reason, we should put all the resources to fight arts forgery in our country.
