النائب شنكيط يشارك في المؤتمر السنوي لحزب الديمقراطيين الليبراليين بإنجلترا

شارك النائب البرلماني صلاح الدين شنكيط عن فريق الأصالة والمعاصرة في المؤتمر السنوي لحزب الديمقراطيين الليبراليين، الذي ينعقد في إنجلترا بمدينة برايتون خلال الفترة الممتدة ما بين 14و 17 شتنبر 2024.

وضم المؤتمر عدة ورشات عمل من أبرز مواضيعها: التغير المناخي والأوضاع بغزة ودعم الأطفال المحرومين والمساواة بين الكما قام صلاح الدين شنكيط بعدة لقاءات ثنائية جمعته بشخصيات هامة وبرلمانيين بريطانيين، كالسيد Brian Mathiew عضو مجلس العموم البريطاني عن الحزب الديمقراطي الليبرالي، والسيدة Mounira Wilson نائبة برلمانية عن نفس الحزب.

وتجدر الإشارة أن حزب الديمقراطيين الليبراليين في المملكة المتحدة يعتبر حزبا وسطيا يجمع بين التوجهات الليبراليّة الاجتماعيّة والاقتصاديّة، تأسس عام 1988 نتيجة اندماج الحزب الليبرالي وحزب الاشتراكيين الديمقراطيين، وقد حقق مفاجأة في انتخابات مجلس العموم البريطاني الأخيرة، في يوليوز الماضي، بحصوله على 72 مقعداً في البرلمان، ليكون القوّة الثالثة بعد حزب العمّال وحزب المحافظين.وكان داعماً قوياً لبقاء المملكة المتحدة في الاتحاد الأوروبي.
