SAR la Princesse Lalla Hasnaa, Présidente de la Fondation pour la Sauvegarde du Patrimoine Culturel de Rabat, a offert lundi une réception en l’honneur d’une délégation de l’UNESCO, conduite par la Directrice Générale, Mme Audrey Azoulay, qui participe aux travaux de la 17ème session du Comité intergouvernemental pour la sauvegarde du patrimoine culturel immatériel.
Cette réception a été l’occasion d’un échange entre Son Altesse Royale et la Directrice Générale de l’UNESCO qui a porté sur la coopération, depuis dix ans, entre la Fondation et l’Organisation onusienne en ce qui concerne la gestion du patrimoine de la ville de Rabat, inscrit en 2012 sur la liste du patrimoine mondial de l’humanité. Rabat, ce bien inscrit de 348 hectares, comporte huit composantes historiques faisant de la capitale du Royaume un patrimoine urbain simultanément ancien et moderne.
La Fondation initie et définit une politique ambitieuse en faveur de la sensibilisation des habitants de Rabat et de ses visiteurs, le patrimoine d’une ville n’étant préservé durablement que lorsque sa population en a compris la valeur et s’y est attaché.
Son Altesse Royale a reçu, par la suite, les membres du Comité du patrimoine culturel immatériel et ce, en présence de M. Mehdi Bensaid, ministre de la Jeunesse, de la Culture et de la Communication et de l’Ambassadeur Samir Addahre, représentant permanent du Royaume du Maroc auprès de l’UNESCO.

Dans une déclaration à la presse, Mme Azoulay s’est félicitée de la “très riche” collaboration entre la Fondation et l’UNESCO en matière de protection du patrimoine culturel de Rabat, se réjouissant de l’intensité de cette coopération qui se développe de plus en plus, notamment dans les domaines de l’éducation et de la sensibilisation aux questions liées au patrimoine.
La Fondation pour la Sauvegarde du Patrimoine culturel de Rabat participe aux travaux de la 17è session du Comité intergouvernemental pour la sauvegarde du patrimoine culturel immatériel par l’organisation, avec le ministère de la Jeunesse, de la Culture et de la Communication et la Maison de l’Artisan, d’une exposition intitulée: “Tapis de Rabat, tout un art”, qui se poursuivra jusqu’au 03 décembre.
Ce remarquable tapis, le seul de tradition citadine au Maroc, a puisé son inspiration dans les traditions anatolienne, perse et marocaine. C’est un élément de référence du patrimoine immatériel de la Capitale qui a vocation à rejoindre la liste du patrimoine mondial.
La Fondation pour la Sauvegarde du Patrimoine Culturel de Rabat a été créée par Sa Majesté le Roi Mohammed VI afin de préserver l’héritage matériel, immatériel et paysager de Rabat. En effet, une partie de la ville est inscrite depuis 2012 sur la liste du patrimoine mondial de l’Humanité de l’Unesco sous l’intitulé : “Rabat, Capitale moderne et Ville historique: un patrimoine en partage”.
La Fondation développe des programmes autour de trois axes fondateurs: éduquer, sensibiliser et fédérer. Puissant levier d’inclusion et de cohésion, le patrimoine de Rabat est un véritable moteur de développement social, économique et culturel.
La Fondation mène ainsi des actions régulières de découverte du patrimoine auprès des Rbatis, notamment les plus jeunes, afin de créer ce lien affectif, garant du respect et de la préservation de leur mémoire.
Les programmes de la Fondation ciblent le grand public, les professionnels, les institutionnels et particulièrement les plus jeunes.
La Fondation met en place, dans le cadre de ses programmes éducatifs, des kits pédagogiques et des plateformes digitalisées de médiation du patrimoine culturel, à travers le programme “digitalisation du patrimoine”. Elle organise ainsi des ateliers scientifiques auxquels sont conviés des experts de tous les continents pour partager, échanger et faire avancer la cause précieuse de la préservation du patrimoine culturel moderne et ancien.
Le travail, mené dans une approche partenariale, associe les expertises et les ressources, et fédère des acteurs institutionnels, publics et privés dans le but d’affirmer la nécessité de la protection du patrimoine dans le Royaume.
