Mr. Idris Boudarja, the municipal councilor for the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) in the Laayoune-Sidi M'Lok municipal council (Taourirt Province), commended the efforts of all institutions and stakeholders aimed at completing the construction of the municipal sports field in partnership with the Ministry of Youth and Sports; the project is expected to take approximately 10 months.
Boudraja added that this project, which cost an estimated 500 million centimes, includes: steel bleachers for spectators, a VIP stand for more than 1,500 spectators, as well as a stadium administration office and locker rooms. The project also involves the demolition and reconstruction of part of the stadium fence, as well as landscaping.
Sidi Malouk, a member of the Laayoune Municipal Council, explained that this project addresses a long-awaited need among residents and will undoubtedly help create a sports facility to promote soccer and track and field, while strengthening the city’s sports infrastructure and providing neighborhood sports fields to support its comprehensive development efforts.
