On Thursday, March 14, 2019, Rachid Tamek, President of the Regional Council of Asa-Zag, held a meeting with specialist doctors at the Asa-Zag Regional Hospital to discuss the challenges and difficulties facing the region’s health sector. The meeting was attended by the director of the regional hospital and the council’s director of services.
This meeting was held in line with the implementation of the regional development program, particularly with regard to health development. It was agreed to take a series of measures to improve health services, in addition to organizing medical campaigns across all regions of the province. These initiatives will involve specialist doctors to enable citizens to benefit from medical services.
For his part, Tamek expressed his full readiness to provide all necessary support to advance the health sector in the Asa-Zag region, acknowledging the scale of the challenges it faces, and emphasizing the importance of working collectively with the relevant authorities to improve health services for the population.
