The editorials in today’s national newspapers focused on current issues, particularly the government’s policies and tourism in Agadir.
The daily *Al-Alam* argued that the government relies on “unbalanced” liberal policies, noting that “this policy is widening social disparities, as the government relies on unbalanced and sporadic liberal policies, which means limiting its objectives to merely attempting to alleviate pressure, impact, and repercussions rather than implementing radical solutions to the problems at hand.”
She noted that “government policy has completely disregarded a significant segment of the Moroccan people who are considered the cornerstone of any desired development or progress, namely Moroccan youth, who face real challenges that prevent their integration into society.” She added that “the popular boycott of certain consumer goods and the popular movement urge the government to learn from these experiences, because these are real indicators that affect the country’s stability,” noting that the government’s handling of these issues has been “superficial.”
On another note, the daily newspaper *Al-Bayan* reported that tourism in Agadir has seen a slight increase, though this can be described as a “remarkable achievement,” given that the city has surpassed the one-million-tourist mark. The newspaper wrote, “If we take into account the region’s immense potential, 1.1 million visitors to the capital of Souss is not enough for a city that aspires to more,” adding that “despite all this, we have every right to be proud of this achievement, which will serve as a stimulus for the future.”
