الصين ستتبرع بـ300 ألف جرعة من لقاحات “كوفيد-19” لقوات حفظ السلام الدولية

الأمم المتحدة 16 مارس 2021 (ومع) أبلغ المندوب الصيني الدائم لدى الأمم المتحدة تشانغ جيون، يوم الاثنين، الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة أنطونيو غوتيريس عن عزم الصين التبرع بـ300 ألف جرعة من لقاحات (كوفيد-19) لقوات حفظ السلام الدولية، مع إعطاء الأولوية لقوات حفظ السلام العاملة في إفريقيا.

وقال تشانغ، في بيان، إن “هذه خطوة أخرى لجعل اللقاحات الصينية منفعة عامة عالمية، ودليلا على دعم الصين القوي والمستمر للأمم المتحدة والتعددية”.

وأضاف أنه “بصفتها من المدافعين عن قضية الأمن والسلامة في إطار مبادرة (العمل من أجل حفظ السلام) التي أطلقها الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة، تعلق الصين أهمية كبيرة على سلامة وأمن قوات حفظ السلام، وتدعم التطعيم المبكر ضد الفيروس لقوات حفظ السلام التابعة للأمم المتحدة لحماية صحتهم ومساعدتهم على أداء واجباتهم بشكل أفضل”. كما أشار البيان إلى أن الحكومة الصينية ستعمل عن كثب مع الأمانة العامة للأمم المتحدة لإتاحة اللقاحات التي تبرعت بها الصين لقوات حفظ السلام في القريب العاجل.

وشدد على أن اللقاحات هي “أقوى سلاح للفوز في المعركة. وتولي الصين أهمية كبيرة للتوزيع العادل للقاحات، خاصة فيما يتعلق بالحصول عليها والقدرة على تحمل تكاليفها في البلدان النامية”، مؤكدا أن الصين ستواصل التضامن مع الدول في جميع أنحاء العالم لبذل جهود دؤوبة للفوز في المعركة العالمية ضد المرض.

وكان وزير الخارجية الصيني وانغ يي قد أعلن عن قرار الصين بشأن التبرع باللقاحات لقوات حفظ السلام في اجتماع لمجلس الأمن بشأن لقاحات (كوفيد-19) في 17 فبراير الماضي.
