Al-Arabi Al-Mahrachi, head of the National Committee for Elected Officials of the Authenticity and Modernity Party, confirmed that immediately following the election of Mr. Hakim Benchamach as the party’s secretary-general and the election of a new political bureau, the party set about developing new plans for the coming phase, based on the vision reflected in the roadmap and the Twenty Initiatives, using a regional organizational approach.
In a speech delivered during the internal organizational meeting held today, Sunday, October 28, 2018, in Moulay Yacoub, Al-Mahrachi stated that the party is committed to organizational development in order to enhance its readiness across all regions and provinces, and to undertake all initiatives to promote openness toward citizens and civil society institutions. He emphasized that developing the party’s organizational governance at the regional level is a fundamental step toward building a strong and cohesive party, and working through a participatory approach to prepare programs and visions to be adopted by regional coordinating bodies in the coming phase. Al-Arabi Al-Mahrachi added: “We are all called upon today to ensure the success of the party’s organizational structure, to advocate as an organization on the issues that concern the region’s residents, and to confront unacceptable practices.” He explained that to ensure the success of this approach, a coordination committee has been established at the level of each region, comprising the party’s regional secretary, regional deputies, parliamentary advisors, the president of the regional assembly of elected officials, members of the National Council, representatives of the youth and women’s organizations, representatives of party forums and organizations, as well as the party’s cadres and experts in the region, and the party’s regional director, to examine the population’s problems and urgent social demands at the local community level, submit reports to the central leadership to advocate on these issues, and mobilize the party’s full national resources to address the population’s expectations.
