The Driouch Regional Council, chaired by Mostafa Btchaib, held a special session attended by the regional governor, council members, as well as council officials and staff.
The session was devoted to reviewing and approving an agenda comprising 14 items, with the exception of three items that were postponed to the June session for technical reasons, namely a partnership agreement for the project to rehabilitate, equip, and operate the Center for People with Special Needs in Ben Tayeb; a partnership agreement for the project to rehabilitate, equip, and operate the Regional Center for the Professional Integration of People with Disabilities in Midar; and a partnership agreement related to the project for the rehabilitation, equipping, and management of the Regional Center for the Homeless in Gar.
The Council unanimously approved the remaining items on the agenda, the first of which was item 4 concerning a partnership agreement between the Regional Council, the Regional Prefecture, and the Iftsaf Commune regarding the construction of three unclassified roads in the Iftsaf Commune, followed by a partnership agreement between the Regional Council, the Driouch Provincial Administration, and the Ifrani commune concerning the construction of three unclassified roads in the Ifrani commune, in addition to Partnership Agreement No. 1 between the Regional Council, the Provincial Administration, and the Beni Merganin commune for the construction of two unclassified roads in the Beni Merganin commune, and Partnership Agreement No. 2 between the Regional Council, the Regional Prefecture, and the Beni Marghain commune concerning the construction of two unclassified roads in the Beni Marghain commune.
In the eighth item, the Council also unanimously approved a partnership agreement between itself, the provincial administration, and the Tlilit commune for the construction of four unclassified roads in the Tlilit commune, in addition to approving a partnership agreement between the Council and the Oulad Amgar commune for the construction of two unclassified roads: one connecting National Road No. 16 to the Ayar Oumzir roundabout, and the other connecting National Road No. 16 to the Laazib roundabout.
A partnership agreement between the Regional Council and the Ain Al-Zahraa Municipality was also unanimously approved for the construction of two unclassified roads. The first concerns the unclassified road connecting Regional Road No. 508 to the Oulad Abdullah roundabout via Al-Shatiwi and Bouajal over a distance of 2.5 km, and the second involves the reinforcement and maintenance of the unclassified road connecting Regional Road No. 508 to the Agoumata roundabout over a distance of 6.5 km.
In item 11, the Council unanimously approved a partnership agreement between itself and the Ashbal Najm Midar Association regarding the purchase of a bus for the association’s team, with a provision in the agreement stipulating that the bus must be returned to the Regional Council in the event the association is dissolved, In the twelfth item, the Council approved the reallocation of certain financial appropriations in the second part of the budget, estimated at approximately 1.1 billion centimes, allocated for the completion of various projects, including 280 million centimes for equipping social centers in the region, 650 million centimes for the construction and improvement of roads in the region, in addition to 126 million centimes to complete the construction of the student dormitory in the city of Driouch, while 50 million centimes were allocated to carry out technical studies for a number of projects.
