The Moroccan-German Federal Council has taken the initiative to assist Moroccan students stranded in the German city of Düsseldorf. In collaboration with the Consulate of the Kingdom of Morocco in the city, the Council will cover the costs of their tuition for the remaining months of the academic year, as well as their daily living expenses.
In this context, Ali Al-Samari, President of the Moroccan-German Federal Council in Germany, praised the spirit of responsibility and national pride demonstrated by the Kingdom’s embassy and consulates through their swift response to all initiatives aimed at addressing the crises faced by the Moroccan community residing in Germany during these exceptional circumstances.
The Consulate has been working to track the cases of Moroccans stranded in the Rhineland-Palatinate region and to provide all necessary supplies and essentials to alleviate their psychological and physical distress. It has also worked, in coordination with local councils and a number of Moroccan associations, to monitor the situation of students and participate in a campaign to provide food and housing, as well as to contact immigration offices to extend their residence permits.
