The Political Bureau commends the provisions of the new finance bill that reaffirm the government’s social orientation; it expresses its deep satisfaction with the resolution of the issue regarding the strikes by medical and pharmacy students

The Political Bureau of the Authenticity and Modernity Party expressed its appreciation for the general orientations set forth in the new finance bill, which clearly highlight the current government’s social agenda focused on revitalizing the job market, reducing the tax burden on the middle class while protecting citizens’ purchasing power, providing unprecedented support for housing, health, and education, and making youth employment a top priority for the coming year—a goal for which the government has allocated exceptional financial resources exceeding 14 billion dirhams.

In this context, the Political Bureau, in a statement issued following its meeting held yesterday, Thursday, November 7, expressed its satisfaction with the contents of the draft finance bill, emphasizing that the important programs included in the draft, as well as the tremendous effort made by the government to increase the volume of public investment, must be implemented with a high degree of good governance, efficiency, transparency, and oversight, and that all of this must be supported by a profound reform of certain public institutions and enterprises so that they serve as a genuine lever for job creation.

In addition, the Political Bureau welcomed the government’s approval of the decree setting the Kingdom’s official population figure, following the completion of the census conducted last September, emphasizing the importance of the findings, figures, and data contained in the final report, which will undoubtedly assist the government, public institutions, and local authorities in implementing the new development model and shaping public policies that align with the demographic and socio-economic transformation our country is undergoing.

Still on the social front, the Political Bureau expressed its great satisfaction with the resolution of the issue of strikes by medical and pharmacy students—a matter that had remained an open item on the agenda of the party’s collective leadership, the Political Bureau, and other party institutions. It was a matter of deep concern and action for the party’s youth wing, which contributed significantly to resolving this crisis through intensive meetings with students and the relevant administration—via dialogues held at the party headquarters as well as at the Ministry of Higher Education—to bridge differences and find a way out of the crisis that had lasted for nearly a year.

The Political Bureau highly commended the efforts made by all government sectors to restore the prestige of the public service by ensuring fairness for women and men in the civil service through historic and unprecedented wage increases, adopting significant tax reforms, implementing other highly progressive measures to protect their purchasing power, opening up greater opportunities for all its sons and daughters, and achieving a clear and unprecedented increase in the representation of Moroccan women in positions of administrative responsibility.
