انتخاب المغرب نائبا لرئيس مؤتمر الأمم المتحدة الرابع عشر لمنع الجريمة والعدالة الجنائية

انتخب المغرب، يوم الأحد 07 مارس 2021، نائبا لرئيس مؤتمر الأمم المتحدة الرابع عشر لمنع الجريمة والعدالة الجنائية.

ويعتبر انتخاب المغرب لمنصب نائب رئيس مؤتمر الأمم المتحدة اعترافا بمساهمة المملكة الجوهرية في الجهود الدولية لمكافحة الإرهاب بجميع أشكاله ومظاهره، ومنع الجريمة وتحقيق العدالة الجنائية.

ويقود الوفد المغربي، الذي يشارك في أعمال هذا المؤتمر بصيغة مختلطة (حضوريا وافتراضيا ) محمد بن عبد القادر وزير العدل، ويضم أيضا سفير المغرب في طوكيو، والسفير الممثل الدائم للمغرب في فيينا، والرئيس الأول لمحكمة الاستئناف بمراكش – عضو المجلس الأعلى للسلطة القضائية، بالإضافة إلى كبار المسؤولين من مختلف القطاعات الوزارية المعنية.

كما جرى ، خلال اليوم الأول من مؤتمر الأمم المتحدة الرابع عشر لمنع الجريمة والعدالة الجنائية ،الذي ينعقد بشكل مختلط (حضوريا وافتراضيا) في كيوتو (اليابان) إلى غاية 12 مارس الجاري، انتخاب وزيرة العدل في اليابان السيدة يوكو كاميكاوا بالتزكية كرئيسة لهذا المؤتمر الرابع عشر، إضافة الى 21 نائبا للرئيسة، بما في ذلك المغرب في شخص سفير المغرب لدى مكتب الأمم المتحدة في فيينا السيد عز الدين فرحان.

وتجدر الإشارة إلى أن مؤتمر الأمم المتحدة لمنع الجريمة والعدالة الجنائية هو أكبر تجمع وأكثرها تنوعًا في العالم، حيث يجمع بين واضعي السياسات والمهنيين والأكاديميين والمنظمات الحكومية الدولية والمجتمع المدني العامل في مجال منع الجريمة والعدالة الجنائية.
